I wish I could read people’s minds.
Regarding the reasons for this conflict, we have received a lot of information from both sides, Ukraine and Russia.
Some say that these are economic and strategic reasons. Someone else believes that this war is legitimized by a cultural aspect.
But that’s not what I want to know.
I wish I could read minds to know the real motives for this war, even if I sadly learn later that the patriotist thoughts of the Russian government are just lies to cover other interests.
Many times I was lying on the bed thinking about this. How is it possible to look in the mirror and be at peace with yourself knowing that you are communicating thousands of lies to your people? Censoring the news, suppressing demonstrations, preparing propaganda scenes that you see were made just for this purpose.
I want to believe that there is a noble reason in choosing to start this war because it is too difficult for me to imagine a world where someone manages to wake up with the blood of hundreds of civilians on their hands and then goes to eat at the table with their family.
But maybe I am naive, and the world is really like that.
