Hi everyone, my name is Maria, I am 18 years old and I am from Ukraine. Today I am going to tell you about the situation in my country. As you know recently Russia has started a war against Ukraine and hundreds of civilians have already died because of Russia’s aggressions. Every day they kill our parents, our grandparents, our brothers and sisters. People are afraid to go outside because they can be killed there. Fortunately, this city where I live now is quiet, but I also can’t watch calmly how Russia destroys other cities in Ukraine. This is the country where I was born, have been living during all my life and will live here till the end.
All the world should know this war where innocent people die every day. You can see the real information on social media. There are a lot of fake news, but we will tell you the truth. Just don’t be silent, you shouldn’t think that this war is only against Ukraine. It will affect everyone. And you too.
Now let’s move on to the real events that take place in Ukraine today. The first capital of Ukraine. (Describing the pictures). Charkiw, one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine, now it looks like this. Impressive, isn’t it? And now present capital of Ukraine, in Kiew, homes were bombed, streets were destroyed, and hundreds of people left homeless. Now, they have nowhere to live. They are leaving their hometowns and are looking for peace. Ukrainians began to unite to help all victims of the world to help the armed forces of Ukraine for our future. Every day we volunteer. Namely, we make camouflage nets, deliver food and basic necessaries to army units. Sew clothes for military, prepare food for them and donate all the money to the soldiers. Ukraine is united as never before because this war has affected everyone. We call on everyone to help Ukraine. We believe that we are not alone, that the whole world is with us. We will keep you up to date with all the important news. Take care of yourself and let peace come to the whole world.
